In humanities the November unit we had to make our very own Island using our imagination. Here is basically everything I used and had in my Humanities presentation.
History
On March 13, 2008 Matija Draskovic was enjoying his weekend on his yacht. Without knowing he miss read his compass and turned right from Hawaii and there he saw a beautiful island. Because the island was so beautiful he decided that he would name that island using the name of the most beautiful women in the world, his mom. Now every March 13 we celebrate the biggest celebration on this island {or Paradise Ela.} Kids celebrate from 9 in the morning till 10 at night and parents all night from 10 to 8 in the morning. The only thing about this island that is different from others is that it has two president {or owners.} One is Matija himself and the other is Matija’s father Jugoslav Karic. Matija’s mom designed some of the hotel VIP rooms, and his Grandma made the clothes for the waiters and managers etc. As you can see this history isn’t that old as other island but its still the history for Paradise Ela.
Agriculture
On this island we get our mouth watering vegetables and fruits from a town named Golan. This town is full of growing vegetables and some juicy fruits. It has over 13 km of growing stuff. And it has some of the most fresh food unlike from some places but one interesting thing about agriculture in this island is that it has a brand new fruiter recently discovered {and tested.} People who tried it say it one of the best fruit they have had eaten.
Economy
The Economy in Paradise Ela is actually very good, Because of its new rich discovered fruit. Plus everyone in matija’s family works hard and off course not all of the money that they make go’s to the island, infect less than ½ of the money they make goes to the island.
Education
In my Island there is no school just fun, But unless you want to be a manger waiter room service or anything that involves that you have to go through training. On my island there is also not a lot of jobs because its called Paradise Ela. Your suppose to enjoy yourself. In my island you only work for 4 hr and you have a rest for 6 hr and then you work 3 more hr, and if I see that someone’s working more than they are suppose to I will give them I day off.
Language
In my island the main language is mostly English but there is also Serbian French and Spanish.
Culture
Because my island is for everyone to rest and enjoy their summer there are all these different types of cultures but the one that is most is Christian. I am Christian as well.
Flag
On the flag of Paradise Ela there are three stars. These stars represent my mom’s favorite number. Then there is the color red on my flag that represents my best color {not because I am a boy and I like blood} Then there is the color black to represent that my family and me are for Partisan {because they are the best} Government
In Paradise Ela the Government is republic. It listens to the people’s ides to improve the island and its awesome fun games {rock climbing jet skiing etc,}
